Festival artists were met in the village of Kichera, Novy Uoyan, Nizhneangarsk, Kholodny, Angoy and Baikalsk.
The leading soloists of the Buryatia State Opera and Ballet Theater, People’s Artist of the Republic of Buryatia Munkhzul Namkhai (baritone) and People’s Artist of the Republic of Buryatia Biligma Rinchinova (soprano) performed for the audience. Soloists of the ballet troupe of the Buryat State Opera and Ballet Theater Mikhail Ovcharov and Elizaveta Martynova also presented their program. The couple performed the pas de deux from the ballet Don Quixote and the adagio from the ballet Romeo and Juliet. The concerts ended with the performance of the bright show “Transformation” from the artists of the original genre Pavel Istomin and Ayuna Erdyneeva. The festival is traditionally held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Buryatia.
– Concerts in the Severo-Baikalsky region are an old good tradition of the Baikal Festival. Our Buryat Philharmonic is always met there with great warmth and joy, and the halls are full of admiring spectators, – said the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Buryatia Soelma Dagaeva.
Igor Pukharev, Head of the Severo-Baikalsky District, expressed special gratitude: “For 14 years, this unique festival has delighted music lovers in our region. Art is an important part of the culture of society, its spiritual life and moral health. The amazing atmosphere of creativity that reigns at the Baikal Christmas Festival is a source of inspiration, joy and admiration, new colors and unforgettable emotions.”
The audience also left a lot of feedback, noting the warm, relaxed atmosphere of the concerts. Both children and adults happily applauded, danced and sang along with the artists.
