CHICAGO, Jan 14 (Reuters) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed the 1st scenario of a remarkably pathogenic strain of avian flu in a wild fowl since 2016 in South Carolina on Friday.

The strain, Eurasian H5 avian flu, was identified in a wild American wigeon in Colleton County, South Carolina, the agency mentioned in a statement. He advised poultry producers to overview basic safety actions to make sure the health and fitness of their birds.
