Sandrine Derville, vice-president of the regional council of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and municipal councilor of opposition to Anglet, specifies, by way of a press release, that she “wishes the Region to be associated with the reconstruction of the Pignada forest and Izadia park “.
A desire for association
She specifies that “from Thursday evening, I told the mayor of Anglet, Claude Olive, of my support and of my desire to join in these reflections. Our role as elected officials will be essential to preserve and rebuild, with all communities, foresters and associations, this natural and biodiversity setting.
Sandrine Derville recalls that “the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region is the leading metropolitan forest region with 2.8 million hectares of forests, very committed, within the framework of its NeoTerra roadmap, in the sanctuary of natural spaces and the preservation of the forest”.
“Beyond the financial aid that the Region will be able to mobilize, it seems to me essential that we be associated from the start in the reflections and decisions, in order to be able to rebuild together the forest massif and the Izadia ecological park, in a logic of reasoned management, ‘adaptation to climate change, and improvement of biodiversity “, indicates the vice-president of the Region and elected Anglo-Opposition.
