NextDdie Dempsey, the RMT’s senior assistant secretary, has accused the Labour management of “standing idly by” all through the rail strike and warned Sir Keir Starmer he could get “divisive”.

Sir Keir has ordered Labour frontbenchers to continue to be absent from picketing, but he confronted opposition from a handful of top rated groups on Tuesday.
