In Komi, thanks to the national project “Education”, the number of schools where training is conducted in two shifts is systematically reduced.

The construction of new school buildings will allow eliminating the second shift. Within the framework of the regional project “Modern School” of the national project “Education”, such construction is now being carried out in the village of Obyachevo, Priluzsky district and in the village of Ust-Izhma, Izhma district. By the end of 2022, it is planned to create 690 new student places in these settlements.

In 2022-2023, the construction of four more schools in Syktyvkar and an elementary school in the village of Kortkeros will begin. The construction of a school in the village of Izhma has already begun. Upon completion of the construction, there will be 3,350 new study places in Komi.

In 2021, an agreement was signed with a private investor to finance the construction in 2022-2024 of an educational complex (school-kindergarten) for 750 children in the village of Vylgort, Syktyvdinsky District.

In addition, within the framework of the federal program in 2022-2026, it is planned to carry out major repairs and equip with modern equipment at least 22 schools, including buildings of general educational organizations that are currently not used due to dilapidation.
