On November 11 of the same year, the investigation report released by the working group pointed out that the causes of the accident included the breakage of the wire rope due to metal fatigue, problems with the design of the ring screw device, and the unsatisfactory safety factor of the suspension system. According to the findings of the investigation, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government believes that the venue renter has violated several provisions of the lease terms. On the same day, the Hong Kong police arrested five suspects, including the business director, project manager, technical coordinator, etc. of the general contractor Yineng Engineering, as well as a technician. Among them, the four employees involved in the case of Arts Engineering were suspected of two crimes of fraud and allowing objects to fall from a height.
