Cavalier King Charles Spaniel helped save his owner in the Moscow region. The girl went to bed with a stroke, but the dog woke her up with barking.
An 18-year-old resident of the Moscow region became ill at home and decided to lie down to sleep. The girl was awakened by the barking of her dog, who sensed something was wrong. Waking up, the girl realized that her condition worsened – she almost could not talk. The girl was able to call her mother, who called an ambulance.
The patient showed speech disorders and paralysis of the left side of the body – clear signs of a stroke. The vascular center of the Domodedovo hospital confirmed the suspicion of an ischemic stroke and decided to perform an emergency operation.
The girl had a puncture in her thigh and a special catheter was inserted through it. So the doctors got to the vessels of the brain, where they removed a blood clot measuring four millimeters. After that, speech and motor functions were restored, nothing threatens the patient’s life. Now she continues treatment in the neurological department.
