The Casablanca Stock Exchange closes slightly higher


Stock Exchange (Casablanca) – The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed slightly higher on Thursday, its main index, the MASI gaining 0.16% to 12,250.74 points (pts).

The Morocco Stock Index (MSI 20), which brings together the 20 most liquid stocks, strengthened by 0.18% to 986.91 pts and the Casablanca ESG 10, thematic index which calculates the performance of the prices of socially responsible companies. , rose 0.41% to 914.67 pts.

Regarding international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid recorded a slight increase of 0.09% to 10,249.75 pts and the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 gained 0.04% to 11,262.44 pts.

At the sector level, the mining index posted the biggest increase of the day (+3.90%), boosted by SMI (+5.34%), Managem (+4.61%) and Minière Touissit ( +2.16%).

The Beverages sector gained 3.1%, thanks to the good performance of Société des Boissons du Maroc (+3.96%), that of Distributors advanced by 2.14% and that of Engineering & industrial capital goods by 1.95%.

On the losing side, the portfolio companies-Holdings sector showed the strongest decline (-3.57%), followed by those of leisure and hotels (-2.84%), finance companies & other financial activities (-1.41%) and agri-food/production (-1.39%).

At the end of the day, the overall volume of trade amounted to 118.95 million dirhams (MDH), carried out mainly on the Central market (Shares) and dominated by transactions relating to Itissalat Al-Maghrib (26.56 MDH), Attijariwafa Bank (15.23 MDH) and Taqa Morocco (12.47 MDH).

Market capitalization amounted to 635.53 billion dirhams.

At the individual level, the biggest increases were made by Microdata (+6% to 548 dirhams (DH)), SMI (+5.34% to 1,578 DH), Managem (+4.61% to 2,247 DH), Beverage Company of Morocco (+3.96% to 2,651 DH) and Delattre Levivier Morocco (+3.88% to 72.2 DH).

On the other hand, Colorado (-4.67% to 49 DH), Delta Holding (-3.61% to 27 DH), TotalEnergies Marketing Morocco (-3.6% to 1,552 DH), Résidences Dar Saada (-2.97 % to 23.87 DH) and Risma (-2.84% to 113.1 DH) showed the biggest drops.
