100% electric technology is ideal for drivers who make less than 10,000 kilometers per year. The offer of these vehicles has increased a lot in the last year, as well as their benefits and autonomy. It is already possible to find cars on the market that exceed 500 kilometers of autonomy, with which many users are already considering the possibility of making long-distance trips. But there is still a lack of infrastructure, especially in the great corridors communication -highways and motorways-, so it is necessary to plan the trip well. Plus, quick chargers aren’t cheap in your home.

In the last times An important offer of models with autonomies between 150 and 300 kilometers have arrived on the market, which are ideal for urban and interurban use, with a daily average that does not exceed 50 kilometers. That is it is essential to have a charging device in our home or in the workplace. In these circumstances the cost per use can be 40% less than that of gasoline. Although electric cars are, for now, more expensive than combustion ones.

Renault Zoe

New airs for one of the best-selling electric cars in Europe, from 30,115 euros, which receives slight aesthetic changes, a higher quality interior and more power and autonomy. Specifically, there are two engines available: 110 hp with a 41 kWh battery, or 135 with a 52 kWh battery. The latter offers up to 390 kilometers of autonomy in the WLTP cycle. It also incorporates a quick charge socket of up to 50 kW, which allows recharging in just half an hour. In a home shot the time required is about nine hours, while an 11 kW public shot requires about two hours.

Seat Mii electric

The urban Mii is the first 100% electric Seat model, a very rational proposal for its small dimensions, its autonomy of up to 259 kilometers – more than enough for daily commutes – and a price from 21,300 euros. It has a 61 kW (83 hp) electric motor and 212 Nm of torque, and mounts a 32.3 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery. It has several recharging options: it can reach 80% of its capacity in just one hour (DC load of 40 kW), or in a domestic socket in about 13 to 16 hours. This load can also be managed remotely through the Seat Connect system.

Kia e-Soul

The new Kia e-Soul brings zero emission powertrain and long range to urban crossovers. In its third generation, what was Kia’s first urban crossover – and Kia’s third 100% electric model – is more distinctive, dynamic and innovative than ever. Users can choose between an extended autonomy propulsion system (with 64 kWh) and a standard autonomy propulsion system (with 39.2 kWh). The 64 kWh extended autonomy battery is combined with a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor, allowing the e-Soul to travel up to 452 km on a single charge (depending on the WLTP combined cycle). The standard autonomy version with a 39.2 kWh battery powers an efficient 100 kW (136 hp) motor.

A combined fast charging system with direct current (Combined Charging System CCS) is installed as standard in both versions and enables shorter stops for recharging. Both batteries can be charged from 20% to 80% of their capacity in just 42 minutes using a fast charger with 100 kW direct current.
