It will be difficult, almost impossible, for the music scene in Valladolid to repeat the concert lineup experienced in 2022. Great classics (such as Serrat or Paco Ibáñez) and best sellers (Manuel Carrasco, Alejandro Sanz or Pablo Alborán) have arrived in the capital throughout throughout this year that is about to end.
The end of the covid restrictions (many masks could still be seen at the concerts in the first quarter) has encouraged large venues to fill up and, in addition, several artists had to move their concerts to 2022, after suspending and postponing tours in the two previous years due to the pandemic (for example, Estopa and Antonio Orozco). And all of them have been concentrated in recent months.
Dani Martín, Robe Iniesta, Sergio Dalma, Fito, Leiva, Los Secretos, Guitarricadelafuente, Chucho Valdés and Camela have passed through Valladolid. The male voices have been the majority. And we should also add Manolo García, who had to suspend his planned concert at the Pisuerga sports center on two occasions (due to health complications derived from the covid), without, for the moment, there being a new date for his visit. The September festivities burst the Plaza Mayor with Jason Derulo and Ska-P. And there it was also possible to listen to Marta Sánchez, Amaia, Don Patricio, Edurne, The Hives or Carlos Sadness.
The festivals also brought leading names closer. The Conexión Valladolid had La MODA, Rulo, Lola Índigo, Kase.O (who announced his withdrawal from the stage shortly after) or Tantxugueiras, who took advantage of the enormous popularity obtained in the preselection to go to Eurovision. In November, the great party indie at the Valladolid Fair brought together Sidonie, Lorie Meyers, Iván Ferreiro and Xoel López.
The indie spirit continued at LAVA (with Zahara, Andrés Suárez, Viva Suecia, Arde Bogotá, as well as Ilegales), the singer-songwriters conquered the theaters (Quique González, Nacho Vegas or Coque Malla) and there were airs from the south with José Mercé, Miguel Poveda, Estrella Morente or Diego el Cigala.
And to this is added the attractive offer of concert halls, which maintain a stable program that in this 2022 has offered microphones to Burning, Los Punsetes, Marta Soto, Carmen Bouza or Ana Guerra. And, in the surroundings of the capital, Hombres G, Fangoria or Sebastián Yatra played.
Here you can read some of the chronicles of the concerts held in Valladolid during this 2022.
And the calendar for 2023 already announces concerts by Pablo López, Fito, India Martínez, Hombres G or Vanesa Martín. Among the names that will not be able to visit Valladolid, that of Pablo Milanés, who died on November 22, and who had a concert in Valladolid announced for this month of January.
