Tesla Tests Dogecoin Payments | Finance Magnates

It is understood that electric car manufacturer Tesla has recently tested the payment method of Dogecoin (DOGE). According to a report published by The Block, DOGE payment options are currently not visible to most non-technical people due to DOGE’s “hidden features.”

However, the backend of Tesla’s Dogecoin payment site is now active. A software engineer named “Tree of Alpha” told social media that most of the code is already included in Tesla’s latest Javascript file used to process payments.

In December, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company plans to accept Dogecoin as a payment model. Following the recent tests, the DOGE community is hoping that Musk will make an official announcement in the coming days.

On its website, Tesla has a dedicated Dogecoin section explaining how to buy the company’s products with Dogecoin.

After testing the rumors, the price of Dogecoin surged nearly 12% in two hours. Dogecoin is up nearly 25% over the past seven days.
