Tennis Prize Money Record: 24-Year-Old Ranks Second All-Time

The women’s tennis association, the WTA, updated its official website on the 14th and announced that world No. 2 I. Świętek (Poland) has earned a total of $42,945,490 (approximately 6,484,760,000 yen), making her the second-highest winnings of all time after S. Williams (USA).

The 24-year-old Świętek won his 25th tour victory at the Korea Open Tennis Championships 2025 (Seoul, Korea, hard, WTA 500) in September, and has continued to perform well, reaching the top 16 at the China Open (Beijing, China, hard, WTA 1000) and the top 8 at the Dongfeng Voya Wuhan Open 2025 (Wuhan, China, hard, WTA 1000). As a result, Świętek’s total prize money has reached $42,945,490 (approximately 6,484,760,000 yen), surpassing V. Williams (USA) who earned $42,867,364 (approximately 6,472,970,000 yen), making him the second-highest in history.

Serena Williams ranks first in history with a total of $94,816,730 in prize money. Świętek, who is in second place, is at the top with a large difference, followed by Venus Williams in third place and current world number one A. Sabalenka in fourth place with $42,480,621 (approximately 6,414,570,000 yen).

Świętek and Sabalenka are also scheduled to participate in the final round, the WTA Finals Riyadh (Saudi Arabia/Riyadh, Hard), which starts on November 1st. The total prize money for the tournament is 15.5 million dollars (approximately 2,340.5 million yen). Depending on the results, Sabalenka could overtake Świętek and rise to second place on the all-time list.
