The lineup of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate keep growing. Today, in a long video presentation, Smash director Masahiro Sakurai revealed that Byleth of Fire Emblem: three houses It will be the next character added to the Nintendo Switch game.
Three houses first launched last summer, for the first time it brings the long-term strategy game to the Nintendo Switch. The game differed from previous entries with a focus on social elements, as well as turn-based combat. Byleth was the main playable character, a teacher in a military school; the male and female versions were available, and both will be options at Byleth’s Smash incarnation too.
According to Sakurai, Byleth’s mobility is low, but the character is good at fighting from a distance. Byleth wields the hero’s relic, a powerful weapon of Three houses – which changes according to the direction in which you attack. While Byleth is the first character of Three houses link Smash, the game is full of a variety of Fire emblem characters already. With Byleth, a new Three houses the stage is also being added to the game, based on the Garreg Mach Monastery where players spend most of their time in the last Fire emblem. Also, 11 songs by Three houses are being added to Latest too.
Nintendo has been constantly updating Latest with DLC characters since the game was launched in 2018. Byleth joins players like Joker from Person 5the hero of Dragon Quest XI, Banjo-Kazooie and Fatal furyIt’s Terry Bogard.
Byleth will be available on January 28.
Sakurai also mocked the next wave of characters, which will include six more fighters, although it is not clear when they will be available, nor who will join the group. Latest list.
