The limited-availability date for Samsung Galaxy S10 + appears online

In less than two weeks, Samsung will present new smartphones, perhaps a new smartwatch and maybe a new pair of headphones in Samsung Unpacked. We have seen rumors about Samsung Galaxy S10 specifications, software features, hardware design and pricing, but what we have not seen are launch dates. Thanks to Samsung Philippines, we now have an idea when at least one of the Galaxy S10 models will be available.

Although the availability dates for the Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S10 or Samsung Galaxy S10 + are not included on this page, the Samsung Philippines pre-order page reveals the availability date of the Samsung Galaxy S10 + Limited Edition – March 15, 2019 It is possible that the Limited Edition model will be launched sooner or later on other markets, but Samsung tends to launch its smartphones globally, so we do not expect the date to be too different between regions. It is said that this model has a ceramic back, 1 TB of internal memory and 12 GB of RAM. Samsung recently announced that they are creating 1TB UFS chips for mobile devices, so we expect to see this new chip in the Limited Edition model. The only other smartphone with 12 GB of RAM is the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, but that smartphone is not available outside of China. 12 GB of RAM seems absurd for a mobile device, but may prove useful if you plan to run Linux on DeX.

If you look closely at the renderings, you can actually see that they are outlines of the devices. They correspond perfectly to the leaked rendering of each device. The D option is the Galaxy S10e, as you can see the retraction of the sideways-mounted fingerprint scanner. The C option is the Galaxy S10 with the power button mounted rather high on the side. The B and A options are both Galaxy S10 + models, although the Limited Edition has more bells and whistles. All 4 of these devices will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820, support for reverse wireless charging and One UI based on Android Pie.

While availability dates for non-Limited Edition models are not confirmed, it is possible to expect these devices to be launched at the beginning of March. Current rumors indicate availability on Friday 8 March, but all 4 devices could be launched very well on March 15, 2019. As for prices, the Samsung Philippines website does not show retail prices, but prices for devices are $ 750 USD for Galaxy S10e, $ 900 for Galaxy S10, $ 1,000 for Galaxy S10 + and $ 1,500 for Galaxy S10 + Limited Edition. It is said that the 5G model comes later.

All this information will be announced officially at Samsung Unpacked on February 20, 2019. Samsung will broadcast the event on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, but we will cover the event so stay tuned for more information.
