Crystal Dynamics announced on Tuesday morning he is delaying his Marvel Avengers videogame. The game was originally scheduled to exit on May 15, but now it will not be released until September 4.
In the study’s statement about the delay, he explains that the new release date will give the development team more time to gather their vision of the game.
“We are committed to offering an original campaign based on history, attractive cooperative and attractive content for years to come,” says the Crystal Dynamics statement. “To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on refining and polishing the game according to the high standards that our fans expect and deserve.”
The delay of the game is not a big surprise, especially given the reception of its public presentations so far. After the revealed advance of the game at E3 2019, he immediately encountered a violent reaction from fans about the character designs of some of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes. While the characters intended to stay away from their instantly recognizable Marvel Cinematic Universe counterparts, they fell into a strange strange valley that left them looking generic. When the players began to put their hands in the game in small demonstrations behind closed doors, the reactions to the gameplay were equally lukewarm.
It is worth noting that this is not the only delay that Square Enix, the publisher of the game, announced Tuesday morning. The Japanese company also announced the delay of the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Remake In the same day.
