Libreoffice with new user interface – IT Magazine

February 8, 2019 –
The open-source office suite Libreoffice has been released in the heavily revised version 6.2. With the update, the Office package has a new user interface with so-called Notebookbars.

The freely available office suite Libreoffice has been released in new version 6.2. The most obvious innovation is the new menu, called notebook bars, reminiscent of Microsoft's ribbon menu. The notebooks are available in a tab-based, grouped and context-dependent grouped variant, but traditional toolbars and menus can still be used. In earlier versions of libreoffice, the notebooks had to be enabled via the activation of the experimental functions, they are now available as standard.

Further innovations relate to a revised help system or more performance in following changes. In addition, there are various innovations in the functions of the individual applications, the icon themes & # 39; s or the personalization functions. A detailed list of all changes is provided by the creators in the release notes.

Libreoffice 6.2 has been released for MacOS, Linux and Windows. As usual, the Windows version is available for download in our freeware library.
