Video calls with multiple participants at the same time have long been possible on Skype. Up to now, however, the number of maximum participants has been limited to 25 people. As Microsoft now informs, up to 50 participants can so far make corresponding telephone calls about the service.
At the same time, this slightly changes the way in which participants can be invited to a group discussion. Instead of the previous ring tone, the invitees can now only see an inconspicuous message that they can accept or reject. If this is not enough, individual participants can still be made aware by calling the invitation. If the group consists of fewer than 25 participants, as usual, the entire group can be ringed at the same time if desired.
The new feature is included in the latest version of Skype and can be downloaded here.
