Gesture navigation comes to Chrome OS

As reported by Android PoliceChrome OS 80 recently reached the beta channel that includes the new gestures. You can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to go home, drag up and hold to view the Chrome general information screen or swipe from left to right to return. You can also drag a little up to open the dock.

The gestures seem to work with most applications, but some applications with pop-up menus are currently incompatible. We imagine that this will be solved before the software leaves the beta version. Other new features include several quick configuration pages similar to those of Android, although you still cannot reorder items on the configuration pages.

To test Chrome OS 80 in beta, go to Settings on your Chromebook, select About Chrome OS and Detailed compilation information, then select Change channel and switch to the Beta channel.
