Agra: an embarrassed lover broadcast his suicide live on Facebook from a temple in the village of Raibha in Agra.

The 22-year-old failed to come to terms with the fact that his girlfriend was engaged to another man.

The victim also left a four-page suicide note, in which he apologized to his family for taking the extreme step and urged them to donate his organs.

What is shocking is the fact that some of his Facebook friends attended the incident live, as he had informed his friends and family of his decision.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Saturday and the victim, identified as Shyam Sikarwar, was found hanging inside the temple premises by local residents.

In the four-minute video, Sikarwar asked the police authorities not to take any action against anyone as he asked his family members to put some pictures of his body on his Facebook account.

"I miss her and I can't live without her. I can't stand the fact that she will marry someone else. The stress of losing her hit me so much that I lost my job," he said in the suicide note.

Ajay Kaushal, official of the Achhnera station, said: "The victim's body was found hanging inside the temple premises by the residents, during which we discovered that the victim was unemployed and depressed because the girl mentioned he was in love was getting married to someone else: we conducted the autopsy and handed his body over to his family ".

The victim's profile was therefore deactivated by Facebook from his family members.
