[Taipei 25th Reuters]–Kyo Ming Kin, chief minister of the Taiwan National Development Council, told reporters on the 25th that he is considering cooperating with three Eastern European countries in the field of semiconductors. ..

He visited Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Lithuania last month. All three countries have offered to cooperate with Taiwan in the semiconductor field.

He said he would set up a working group with the three countries on how they could cooperate. He also stated that he would provide scholarships for technical training.

“The entire semiconductor supply chain is huge. Many countries can play different roles,” he said.

Taiwan thanked the three countries for their donations of the new coronavirus vaccine. Lithuania and the Czech Republic are also grateful for their support for Taiwan amid tensions in China-Taiwan relations.
