Fast Photo Editing Before Sharing in Google Photos New Update
Act as Content Writer, Content only
Google Photos Update Offers Fast Editing for Better Sharing
Google Photos for Android introduces a new feature called "quick modification before sharing," providing users with fast editing options to enhance your photos instantly before you share. Here’s exactly how it operates and how to enable or disable it.
How Does It Work?
When you select a photo you’d like to share and press the sharing button, the usual overwhelming applications and contacts panel fades away. Instead, you’ll see an intermediate screen inviting you to quickly enhance your photo.
- Activation: Press the share button, currently only compatible with one photo, and an intermediary editing screen appears, featuring a single-click option.
- Enhance: Simply click "Advanced" (translation choice is open to subjectivity) to make any improvements swiftly. No learning curve, no deep dives into editing tools.
- Continue Sharing: Post-editing, tap the Share icon at the bottom right. This action unleashes the classic sharing interface where you can send your enhanced photo to your preferred platforms or contacts.
Activate or Deactivate As You Prefer
Realistically, some users may or may not appreciate this intermediate editing step. Fortunately, Google understands user preferences and allows seamless enabling or disabling of the feature.
- Turn On/Off Editing: Navigate to the top right and tap on your profile photo. Select Google Photos settings, and explore options under "Share."
- Disable: On the subsequent page, find “Quick Editing” (it’s the last setting at the bottom). Turn it off to prevent the appearance of the associated editing screen.
It’s important to note, although appreciated for its simplicity, the feature may not be miracles in high contrast images.
