Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) says that there is no indication that Swedish weapons sold to the United Arab Emirates have ended up in Sudan.
That’s what she says to Sweden’s Radio. The United Arab Emirates is accused of assisting the militia group RSF in Sudan with weapons, despite the UN arms embargo.
According to the Inspectorate for Strategic Products (ISP), which controls Sweden’s arms exports, the Swedish arms industry sold material to the value of just over six billion kroner to the United Arab Emirates last year. That’s more than any other country.
