A spokesman for the Stuttgart city administration confirmed to the SWR that the city’s website could currently not be called up reliably on the Internet. Prorussian hacker attacks on other cities
Other cities in Germany also have disorders of their IT this Wednesday. The homepage of the city of Dresden is currently switched off. This is probably a so-called “D-DOS attack”: The servers concerned are flooded with inquiries and data traffic so that they no longer work reliably.
There had also been attacks on websites of cities in the past few days – for example on the homepage of the city of Nuremberg or the city of Berlin. According to the media such as the IT portal Golem.de, the background is said to have been PRORUSSISCHE HACKER. So far, it is not yet possible to say whether there is a connection with today’s failures in Stuttgart, according to the Stuttgart city administration.
