Conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may be capable of producing strong gusts of wind and a large hail.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong gusts of wind can throw loose objects, damage weak buildings, break tree branches and overturn large vehicles. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when the thunder rumbles, go inside!
Vigils of severe thunderstorms are issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: heavy hail, damaging winds, torrential rain.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you seek immediate shelter if the weather threatens.
