Benefit Performances at Teatro de la Estación

In a gesture of solidarity and remembrance, Teatro de la Estación will host two special tribute performances on May 17 and 18. These events, initially proposed by Cristina Yáñez and Fennando Vallejo, serve a dual purpose: to honor Alegre’s artistic spirit and to provide financial support for his wife and son.

On the one hand to say what I would like without fear of reprisals – the rebellion until the end – and the other to raise funds that leave his wife and son. The dates of those last two actions were already announced, on May 17 and 18. The chosen place: the theater that always considered his house: the theater of the station.

The performances will feature a diverse program, including video excerpts of Alegre’s final conversations recorded by Santiago Gómez, offering a retrospective of his illustrious career. Additionally, videos of his performances and interpretations of poems by literary giants such as Miguel Hernández, Jorge Luis Borges, and Federico García Lorca will be showcased.

A Community of Artists Unite

Under the guidance of writer and playwright Adolfo Ayuso Roy (May 17) and actress and director of the Aragon Film Academy (ACA), María José Moreno (May 18), the tribute will encompass songs, poems, theatrical pieces, musical performances, and even magic sequences. The outpouring of support reflects Alegre’s significant impact on the arts community.

Luis Felipe Alegre’s Enduring Legacy

Born in Zaragoza (1956-2025), Luis Felipe Alegre left an indelible mark on the performing arts and literature. As the founder of El Silbo Vulnerado in 1973, he spearheaded over 30 productions that toured 32 countries. These functions are not lost, without him on the scene in essence, but in power. With the desire to help his wife and son, these two functions will be performed. A tribute more calmly begins to gestate their due time will be made known.
