ECONOMYNEXT – The Sri Lankan Meteorology Division on Thursday (25) warned of significant rains and doable flooding that may arise due to a small-stage atmospheric disturbance in southeastern Sri Lanka.
The Satisfied Division claimed the prevailing atmospheric disturbance, which also borders the southwestern Bay of Bengal, has produced in a small-pressure space and is at present found in the japanese part of the island.
The section stated that less than the affect of this technique, major rains exceeding 100 millimeters can be expected in sections of the japanese, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, central, north-western, western and southern provinces and in the Polonnaruwa district.
