The Blaugrana will go to the Santiago Bernabeu for the second La Liga Clasico of the campaign 2018-19 on March 2, it was revealed
Real Madrid will host Barcelona in the second La Liga Clasico of the season, on the evening of 2 March, the league president Javier Tebas revealed.
Real Madrid of Santiago Solari will have to take revenge on the Santiago Bernabeu after losing 5-1 in reverse at the start of this season, a result that marks the end of Julen Lopetegui's term.
Tebas appeared on El Mon on RAC1 on Monday and confirmed that the second game was selected for live broadcast at 8:45 pm local time on the first Saturday of March.
Real Madrid hopes to get closer to this match in an improved championship position, currently in fourth place in the standings, 10 points behind leaders Barca.
Football for #el Clasico al Bernabéu is confirmed!
The moment the Blancos welcome their arch-rivals in the Spanish capital in March, it will be almost three years since their last victory on the Blaugrana competition in the championship.
The clock must be back on 2 April 2016 to find the last chance the Blancos emerged victorious.
They have prevailed in a two-team clash in the Spanish Super Cup since then, but there were no points at stake.
Their last victory in Liga on national soil, meanwhile, came even further back in October 2014.
Real closed the winners 3-1 that day, but have struggled since then.
Barca enjoyed a 4-0 defeat at the Bernabeu in November 2015, before seeing the magic of Lionel Messi win a spectacular 3-2 victory in April 2017.

Another dominant show was then deployed by the team of Ernesto Valverde last season, when they emerged as winners 3-0 in the home of their most ferocious enemies.
The old rivalries are now destined to be rekindled with the Catalan giants trying to defend their Spanish crown.
Madrid, meanwhile, hopes to restore respectability to what has been a difficult campaign for 2018-19 for all stakeholders.
