UEFA has launched an investigation into Neymar. The reason for the investigation are comments that the PSG player had published on his social media after the Champions League from his club.
PSG star Neymar is now threatened with a UEFA penalty after the retirement of the French football champions in the Champions League last week.
As the European Football Union announced on Wednesday, the investigation has started against the currently injured Brazilian. The reason for this is Neymar's commentary on social media after Paris Saint-Germain's home win against Manchester United 3-1.
Neymar fencing against referee
Due to a controversial hand fine in injury time, coach Thomas Tuchel's team was still eliminated despite the 2-0 win in the first knockout round in Manchester. Neymar had followed the stands, as was the penalty for video evidence.
The 27-year-old then called this a "shame" and referred to the referee as "four boys who have no idea about football" and then even verbally fail. UEFA initially did not comment on the trial and a possible punishment against the offensive on Wednesday. (Dpa / thp)
