Nuno Espirito Santo is facing the challenge of meeting "the fantastic gentleman" Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Tuesday, but insists that wolves anticipate a "totally different" test compared to last month's victory against Manchester United.

The wolves beat the United by 2-1 in the FA Cup quarter-final, in what was Solskjaer's last game as Manchester United manager, before being named permanent leader.

In front of Watford in Sunday's semi-finals, the wolves welcome United with Molineux in the Premier League in a test that Nuno says his players are well prepared.

Asked if their victory in the England Cup is the cause of what can be expected on Tuesday, the Wolves coach said Sky Sports News: "It was a great moment, but tomorrow is completely different.

"We competed well, we were very organized and we have to do it again because it will require a lot from us.

"Every time we face a team like Manchester United we must be ready to compete.

"We know how good they are – fantastic players, fantastic managers, the whole story of a great club, but we are ready and we want to do well in Molineux."

Nuno greeted the success of Solskjaer, who won 15 of his 20 games in charge to help bring United back in the race for a placement in the top four.

"He's doing a great job and he's a fantastic gentleman," he said. "I met and I was really happy.

"They did a fantastic job. Clearly the team reacted, the results arrived and the performance arrived.

"Talent was always there and tomorrow will be no different."

Nuno is confident that his players will focus exclusively on United's visit before turning their attention to this weekend's trip to Watford, where wolves can take a big step towards winning their first silverware since 1980.

"The reality is that we have two games this week and we can't escape this," he said.

"But the best way to compete in both is to go to the game, focus on your task on Tuesday and then think about the next one.

"It's the best way to face the competition, in my opinion."
