Tottenham Hotspur is likely to be outnumbered in terms of away fans for their Champions League final against Liverpool and the Reds will also have another significant advantage.
Madrid will host the final on June 1 while two teams meet at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium. Liverpool and Spurs have put together 34,000 tickets, with the stadium with a capacity of 63,500.
The general public was able to accumulate another 4,000, while the remaining tickets are assigned to the "local organizing committee, UEFA and national associations, business partners and broadcasters".
And when it comes to supporting the city in the period preceding the last day, it has been revealed that the Reds have a death grip.
A member of the Madrid fan group revealed that the supporters of the Atletico Madrid supported Liverpool last year when they faced Real in the final. A year later, the Reds' success against Barcelona has both groups of fans on the same page in front of Spurs.
"Last year we had a lot of Atletico Madrid fans who told us they were supporting us in the final against Real Madrid," said Jackie Willcox, president of Madrid Reds, at the Liverpool Echo.
"This year we have both groups of supporters of the two great mother-tongue teams who are supporting us: they are absolutely favorable to Liverpool in the final, we prefer them to support us for what we are like a club and the style of football we play, but people accept us because we have defeated Barcelona.
"There is no lack of respect for Spurs, but they haven't had much experience at this level: Madrid fans don't know as much about Spurs as Liverpool, we have a recent history and many people want us to win."
