Zlatan Ibrahimovic has responded perfectly to all the critics who have lingering doubts about his ability with a spectacular hat-trick for Los Angeles Galaxy.
Before the match against local rivals Los Angeles FC, a journalist asked the 36-year-old if he was still the best MLS player because Carlos Vela was at the top.
Horrified, the Swede said: "By far. Because if he is (Vela) in his prime. How old is he? 29. E is playing in MLS and is in his prime.
"When I was 29 (I was in Europe). Big difference."
And the former Barcelona and Milan striker showed that the class is really permanent, marking a perfect hat-trick in the game nicknamed by the locals as "El Trafico".
Ibrahimovic opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a volley and showed he is not finished yet.
The former talisman of Manchester United is firmly convinced that he is still a great player, as he said after the game: "When you play against a rival like that, in a full stadium, he gets me pumped. I take adrenaline."
"This is considered the biggest game in the league and I present myself in the biggest games," the Swede said after the game.
"I'm in play-off mode every day."
Ibrahimovic's treble led his team in the MLS to 41 44-goal networks.
