The Everton star sends a transfer message to Kurt Zouma about his future in Chelsea

Andre Gomes said he would like the Everton to complete a move for Kurt Zouma this summer.

The French spent last season on loan at Goodison Park and made a good impression on Merseyside for Marco Silva's team.

Zouma has since returned to Chelsea after the end of that loan spell, but his long-term future in the west of London remains in the air.

With a ban on moving over their heads it could be the case that Zouma is forced to pass the first team round at Stamford Bridge, but this would rather be the resurgence of his career at Chelsea after spending the last two seasons out in the desert.

However, with Frank Lampard at the helm, he will probably want to run the rule on all his team members before making a decision.

If Zouma is considered in excess of the requirements, Everton seems ready to enter the race and, having completed his permanent passage to Merseyside, speaking with the press, Gomes said he would like to connect again with the 24 year old.

He said: "I can't decide (Kurt's future), I'll leave this for Marcel (Marchi), he played very well last season and he's a fantastic player.

"If Everton wants it, I'll tell him to buy it too! I'd like it to be here."

The competition for seats in the Chelsea defense could be severe, with Frank Lampard possessing numerous options behind it.

Alongside David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, the Blues will also have Fikayo Tomori in the sheepfold.

The 21-year-old is well known to Frank Lampard after a successful loan period with Derby County last season, which means that Zouma may find it difficult to join the first team.

The French, however, hopes his experiences with Stoke City and Everton will give him the chance to relaunch his career at Stamford Bridge.
