Thomas Tuchel already knows his highest priority for his Paris Saint Germain in front of this transfer window: Borussia Dortmund, Julian Weigl.
Tuchel has consistently faced the midfield situation, even though the club is going through a historic run in Ligue 1, the most important football league in France.
Weigl was one of Tuchel's go-to-guys at the center of the field when he was still head of Dortmund before joining the French champions, but he fell out of the beating order now that Lucien Favre is in charge.
The 23-year-old would like to play once again under the tutelage of Tuchel, even if it means missing the chance to win the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, currently at the top of the table.
So, according to ESPN sources, the French giants are obliged to spend up to 30 million euros to land the German national team, should Dortmund be convinced to let it go.
The PSG bosses recognized the need for Tuchel of a number 6 to his team mate Marco Verratti and lighten the pressure on defender Marquinhos, who was often used in midfield, and the club is aware that Weigl is anxious to work again under his ex coach.
However, according to another source, the problem for PSG is convincing for Dortmund to leave Weigl leave now.
Tuchel wants to put pressure on Marquinhos's shoulders when he finds a center of defense for Marco Verratti in the middle of the field.
During the season, Weigl made only 9 appearances with Dortmund, scoring a goal in 240 minutes.
