NOPD issues a simple battery warranty for Odell Beckham Jr.

The New Orleans Police Department obtained an arrest warrant against Odell Beckham Jr. regarding the alleged contact he made with a security guard in the locker room after the match for Monday’s national championship, according to the NOPD and sources. A police source said the simple aggression order was signed by a judge on Thursday morning. The official NOPD statement says that the misdemeanor order was issued “regarding an incident that occurred on January 13, 2020 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.” The news of the order comes after a video appeared showing the New Orleans native, the former LSU and the current Cleveland. The Browns open receiver seems to touch the back of a security guard in the team’s locker room. LSU TMZ and other media published the video, which TMZ described as showing Beckham, 27, “hitting” the guard behind. Several media reported that after the victory of LSU 42-25 against Clemson, security officials had asked players to stop smoking celebration cigars inside the locker room.
