Chelsea may have just had a push ahead of the first Premier League game of the season.
The Blues go to the Old Trafford to face the first six rivals of Manchester United on August 11th, with both preparations for the teams in view of the new, well-established campaign.
But the Red Devils could now be without a major player for the match, as defender Victor Lindelof was forced to leave the field with a strain on the team in the club's pre-season match against Milan in the afternoon.
The Swedish international was injured and walked along the tunnel after being replaced by Phil Jones in the center of Man Utd's defense.
Lindelof will be a great loss for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as he has been one of the team's most consistent performers since his arrival from Benfica in the summer of 2017. The 25-year-old has collected 40 appearances in all competitions last season, including two Premier League stalemates against the Blues.
When asked about the suitability of the full-time defender, the Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, failed to provide a schedule for dismissal.
"We don't know yet, but (Lindelof and Chong) should be fine," he said MUTV .

"Victor, we'll have to evaluate him tomorrow."
Chelsea have four pre-season games lined up before the trip to the Old Trafford, starting with a game against Barcelona at the Saitama stadium on Tuesday.
