Paul Pogba was initially the highest earning French sportsman with weekly wages of £ 290,000, but Brexit has seen him relinquish that position to fellow national team player Kylian Mbappe.
A depreciation of the Sterling against the Euro two to the uncertainty surrounding Brexit has seen Paul Pogba usurped as the highest earning French athlete by PSG sensation Kylian Mbappe according to French newspaper The Equipe.
Pogba, who earns £ 290,000 per week at Manchester United, also saw his earnings from the Adidas sponsorship rise to £ 34 million for the next year following the World Cup victory in 2018.

However, the overall value of his earnings has fallen to the effects of Brexit meaning that Mbappe, who earns around £ 10.25 million a year has now overtaken him as the highest earning French athlete. Should he move to Real Madrid in the summer, he will further extend his earnings as he will likely be the highest paid player at the Spanish club as well.
Antoine Griezmann, who has tie ups with Huawei, Head & Shoulders, Gillette and Puma, has also reportedly overtaken the Manchester United according to the report.
