Manchester United took action against Barcelona after Catalan giants hit Camp Nou ticket prices for away fans in their forthcoming Champions League clash.
United will meet LaLiga leaders in the Champions League quarter-finals in April, but fans will have to pay dues to get a seat.
Barça is charging United supporters £ 102 per ticket to the Nou Camp clash – the largest number of United fans have ever had to pay for a ticket outside of a major final.
But the Premier League has its backs on Barcelona, charging Spanish fans the same price for an Old Trafford travel ticket.
The United States has confirmed that they will use the extra money generated to subsidize the costs of travel tickets for their supporters.
In a statement, United criticized Barcelona for their grueling price increase and confirmed their brilliant plan to support loyal Red Devils fans.
"In this case we believe that our travel supporters are again subjected to increased / excessive ticket prices from the host club," the statement reads.
"We have again made the difficult decision to charge FC Barcelona fans for the home game at Old Trafford with the same amount that FC Barcelona is paying for the away purchase (£ 102 ).
"We will use the additional revenue obtained to subsidize our travel support by paying the price difference of £ 27 for each of our traveling supporters."
It is not the first time that United has entered the field to help its fans, having also subsidized tickets for their trip to Valencia at the start of this season and against Sevilla last season.
It means that United fans will now only have to pay £ 75 for a seat at the Camp Nou, as United aims to reach the semi-finals for the first time since the 2010/2011 season.
