Gareth Southgate insists 'the job is not done' with England amid rumors that Manchester United have considered hiring him as their next manager.
The 48-year-old surpassed expectations from the World Cup semi-finals in the summer and has been named as a potential candidate for the Red Devils.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has impressed as an interim manager since taking over the reins from Jose Mourinho, masterminding a six-match winning streak, and being invited to a permanent basis in the summer.
However, the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane continue to be linked with the job.
Southgate, though, appears to have been ruled out of the running himself.
Asked if he feels professionally fulfilled managing England amid the speculation, Southgate told Sky Sports: 'I'm the England manager and it's a privileged position to be in.
We've had the best year for a couple of years and this is a European Championship that's predominantly at Wembley, providing we take care of business to qualify.
'So, it's a hugely exciting time with the team. I do not think we've progressed as we can yet. I think there's room for us to grow.
'So, I think there's a lot of importance in life about what you're doing, and I'm still a young coach.
'I've managed less than 200 matches, so, for me, it's an honor to be in the role I'm in and I thoroughly enjoy it.'
He added: 'I'm conscious I've received lots of months in particular, but as a manager, you're all in the hands of your team – both the players and the support team.
'I am lucky to be with people of these groups – very talented, good characters.
'Also, when you're having tributes, you're thinking,' Well, the job is not done for us yet, there's a lot of improvement for us to make '.
It's really nice to be recognized and equally That's for sure. '
Southgate hailed 'tremendous talent' Marcus Rashford, a player who has been returned to form under Solskjaer at United.
'Given that he's only 21, he will definitely continue to improve,' Southgate said.
'When you have a mindset, that will happen.
He's a tremendous talent, he's been scored for the long time and with us, he's scored three goals in the period after the World Cup.
'And he is showing great signs with his club and getting stronger and playing with the belief.'
