Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City have transfer problems – it is the fault of Mino Raiola | Football | Sport

The three Premier League giants have all seen Dutch defender Matthijs De Ligt, who was hailed as the next Virgil van Dijk.

De Ligt is already captain of Ajax, who faces Real Madrid in the Champions League this week, and collaborates with Van Dijk while playing for the Netherlands.

However, he decided to link up with the super-agent Mino Raiola and the Mirror report which is proving a problem for Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.

The belief in the Netherlands is that English clubs are too reluctant to do business with Raiola given their previous negative experiences.

In 2011, Pep Guardiola came out with Raiola when Zlatan Ibrahimovic – who was one of the super agent players – left Barcelona.

Their relationship reached new lows last year when Raiola branded the head of the city "a coward and a dog". The Spaniard then teased the agent for publicly disclosing that he had asked if City was interested in signing Paul Pogba from the United rivals.

As for the other side of Manchester, the bosses of Old Trafford say they are wary of Raiola for similar reasons.

Ed Woodward and Raiola have had a close relationship until they discover they have advertised Pogba in the best clubs of Europe after falling with Jose Mourinho.

While Arsenal found it hard to work with Raiola when Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the Emirates as a witness to the deal that brought Alexis Sanchez to United.

De Ligt, 19, is worth about £ 50 million and will be allowed to follow his friend Frenkie De Jong outside the Amsterdam Arena in the summer.

But the mirror is reporting only two clubs have contacted Ajax to make official their interest – Juventus and PSG.

De Ligt will cash a huge salary increase for those who sign up for this summer.

The Dutch is currently engaged in a £ 30,000 a week deal that will go through the roof when he will leave the Eredivise.
