Rashford lasted only 15 minutes of the 1-0 victory at Old Trafford on Wednesday after a clash with Wolves defender Matt Doherty and is now a doubt for the trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday.
After arriving in the 64th minute, the 22-year-old was replaced by Jesse Lingard in the 79th minute and headed straight through the tunnel.
“It was counterproductive,” said Solskjaer, whose team will play against Watford or Tranmere in the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating Wolves for the first time since 2012.
“You have to take them [risks] occasionally.
“He will be evaluated in the next few days. We have to see on Sunday. He could not run. He struggled a little with his back and received another blow. It did not help.”

Doherty seemed to kneel Rashford on the back and after being replaced, he left Old Trafford without help but walking cautiously.
“I didn’t want to play with him,” Solskjaer said. “We needed the victory, he was involved in the goal, but it was counterproductive. We will do our best to keep it fit.”
Rashford, the top scorer of United with a season with 19 goals, will be a great foul for the Solskjaer team if it does not pass him fit to play in Anfield. Liverpool have yet to lose in the Premier League this season and United remains the only team to take points from the fugitive leaders after Rashford’s goal got a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in October.
After the game, Rashford tweeted: “I never want to feel that I have disappointed my teammates, the club and, most importantly, the fans, so I did my best to continue tonight and I was gutted out. to move on to the next round. “
