Former baskets return home to settle for Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs

Chelsea have loaned over 40 players on loan to various clubs in Europe last season.

It was a policy that raised questions about the club's commitment to introducing young talent.

However, a combination of Lampard's arrival and the club's transfer ban, these players are finally getting their first team chance. Eight players who had played or played on the bench for Chelsea this season had previously been loaned by the club.

They took 16 different loans from each other, including two for Mason Mount and three each for Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Michy Batshuayi.

No other top-ranked player is using all the players he had previously loaned.

The Arsenal and Tottenham have the highest number after both having previously sent their first team out of 10 loans. Harry Kane and Danny Rose were both sent on four loans by Spurs before joining the first team, which could be an encouraging sign for Chelsea.

Six of these Arsenal loans, however, belong to Emiliano Martínez, who was the club's secondary goalkeeper in their first two games.
