Ole Gunnar Solshire, manager of Manchester United, does not believe that many of his fans are angry that the club did not support strong deals during the transfer market, but is happy to see them.
This happened during a press conference on Friday morning to talk about the face of Chelsea next Sunday in Old Trafford in the first round of the Premier League.
"I felt comfortable after the transfer market in England closed. It's all over now and I am very happy with the players I signed and we look forward to the start of the season," he said.
United this summer were Daniel James, Aaron Wan Besaka and Harry Maguire.
"This is not the feeling here in the club, so many fans are happy with what we have done. Yes, many of them will want more deals and this is part of my job as a coach, but I believe in all my players," he said .
Regarding Romelu Lukaku's departure for Inter Milan, he said: "This is the right time for this to happen. It was a good deal for both parties.
"Yes, Lukaku has a good track record with us. He is one of the best attackers in the penalty area if we want to play that way, but we have Marcel, Rashford, James and Lingard, we have an attacking formation."
Asked if the team was better offensive than last season, Solshire said: "We didn't make many goals at the end of last season, so I expect to see a good response from the players. Play more."
"The only way to respond to those who ask us is to play well and show the desire to win. When the public sees it, they will strongly support us and we will not feel negative in the atmosphere," he said.
Asked about Paul Pogba, he said, "I always say it's a great player that he trains and plays incredibly with us."
Speaking again about the transfer, Solshire concluded: "There is money, but this is a long process of building and we must find the right players for us and not make sudden changes."
