Dustin Pedroia has gone through a long recovery process to convince the Red Sox leaders in Boston that he is ready and healthy to jump to the "Big Show".
In recent weeks, veteran and second baseman have stayed in the extensive spring training to play rehabilitation games where he seems to have passed and will eventually make his return to the majors.
According to information from Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports, Pedroia will be activated on Tuesday for the next game in Fenway Park.
Similarly, Nightengale announced that if he had no problems during his nine-inning game, there was no reason to keep his captain from the big divisions.
Pedroia has not played in the majors since May of last season when injuries limited him to only 4 games.
The return of second base will be a positive strike for the Red Sox team that is not going through its best time in 2019.
