Texas Tech beat its ticket to the national champions game with a 61-51 win over the Michigan State Saturday night in the Final Four. Prior to the 2018-19 season, the Red Raiders had never passed the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament – a sign that the team reached a season ago.
Tip-off between Texas Tech and Virginia is set at 8:20 pm. CT Monday at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. And with Sunday's announcement, Texas Tech students – whether in the stands or cheering the team in Lubbock – have no excuse to miss the biggest game in program history for academic reasons.
