Bruno Fernandes has added more fuel to speculation that he is ready to join Manchester United with his latest social media activity.
United is in talks with Sporting Lisbon for a transfer of £ 60 million and the player is interested in switching to Old Trafford.
Fernandes’ agent, Rui Guimaraes, caused a stir on Instagram on Tuesday when he liked a post that called his client’s move to United “imminent.”
Guimaraes then put the Who wrote down Post on your Instagram story, tagging Fernandes, who responded quickly by adding it to your own account.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add attack quality to his team this month and United is prepared to support his manager in the January window.
Ed Woodward is trying to reach an agreement for Fernandes, who has been a long-term goal for United.
Despite the positive conversations, United and Sporting seem to be far away in Fernandes’ valuation, since the Portuguese club is looking for a rate close to £ 60 million.
Fernandes has scored 15 times this season and is under contract at Sporting until 2023.
United believes that Fernandes is worth £ 50 million and when asked about the growing speculation surrounding the game’s creator, Solskjaer declined to comment on any move.
“I don’t have transfer updates, so no,” he said Tuesday.
“If we receive something we can tell you, we will, but now I have no news.”
He added: ‘For me, the most important thing is that we get the results we want, that we get the performances in the field. That is my focus, that must be my focus.
‘But I know that I, or we, have the resources, we have the support if we need to enter the transfer market, for example.
‘We’re still up there [in the Deloitte money league], so we are still in a good place. “
