THomas Tuchel compared Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to a doctor who "healed" Manchester United and warned his Paris St-Germain players that they will face an unrecognizable team from the team that was imploding under Jose Mourinho.
United were drawn against PSG in the sixteenth-minute group tie only the day before Mourinho was fired on the back of a dismal 3-1 defeat by Liverpool, who left 11 points in the Premier League's top four.
Since then Solskjaer has won 10 of his 11 games in office, pushing United among the top four in the process, and Tuchel admitted that the transformation was amazing and may have to curb some of their natural instincts of attack to cope with the threat represented by Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in particular.
"There is an effect [from Solskjaer]", Said Tuchel." We have a saying in Germany that if you go to the doctor and get better, he's right. If the pain disappears, he is right. It wins many games so it's really impressive. He was a super dangerous player and is now winning games as a manager.
"Things are completely different [at United]. They play with great confidence, they score many goals, they bring many first contacts. It's an impressive race they're playing and right now in Old Trafford it's one of the hardest challenges you can have. Things have completely changed [since the draw].
