Even Heidenheim cannot stop the 1. FC Cologne: the second division easily won on the Swabian Alp with 2-0. Anthony Modeste's appearance was a source of mystery and worry.

His 16-year-old best of six wins in a row has the 1. FC Cologne equalized on Sunday afternoon. Also the 1. FC Heidenheim, a strong opponent of Bayern on Wednesday, found no means to stop the leader of the championship. Dominick Drexler and Jhon Cordoba scored the goals for the 2-0 win over the Swabian Alp, which the FC fans traveled with in 2000 to celebrate with singing.
The coaches are happy to say goals at the right time if the results are scored in the same way as the Cologne team did in Heidenheim in the first half. The fast lead they built up shortly before the break. So it went with a 2-0 lead the cabins.
Both goals scored the visitors after flanks head. In the tenth minute, Christian Clemens brought the ball from the right towards the second post. Afterwards Dominick Drexler was pulled away and he could effortlessly get the ball into the top left corner. It was the eighth goal of the attacking player.
Heidenheim hardly brings Cologne into trouble
It increased its scoring quota to 22 points in the 41st minute. Because, in addition to the self-scored hits, he extended his goal preparations to 14 assists. From the left baseline, the 28-year-old high passed on Jhon Cordoba, who was successful from five yards through the header. It was his 14th goal of the season.
Another good chance for the striker, he ruined a slippery turf. Because in a duel with the opposite goalkeeper in a half-right position, Jhon Cordoba slipped and went to the ground. This happened with different actors on both sides.
Four days after the brilliant fighting game in the DFB Cup, when they were defeated in Bayern by only 4: 5, they noticed the Heidenheimern's lack of freshness during the first half. Although they had a lot of possession and tried to attack the FC goal, they hardly brought the Emperor in need.
Anthony Modeste with health problems?
The most dangerous was in the 22nd minute when Robert Glatzel met. But the center front was offside. Marco Höger, who again played at the center of FC's defense, had let the opponent fall into the offside trap.
Anthony Modeste's appearance in Cologne caused incomprehension. He was allowed to participate from the start instead of Simon Terodde. But at the latest after more than half an hour of playing time, the striker seemed to be sucked empty and not fully in possession of his powers. After a running duel, he stopped, breathing heavily, instead of chasing his opponent. In the aftermath, he patted his fist on his chest, put his hands on his side, and seemed to gasp for air.
But at the start of the second half the Frenchman was back. However, he was unable to stage himself before being replaced in the 66th minute. Goal scorer Simon Terodde came into action for him.
In the increasingly flatter game offered the replacement striker but no chance to increase his hit ratio (27 goals). Only two options offered the guests to further increase their income. In the 70th minute Dominick Drexler hardly distorted, ten minutes later keeper Kevin Müller cleared his right foot with a shot from Jonas Hector.
