Son of Crossword Lover stuns officials as he goes for Covid Jab with strange name

A 12-year-old student attracted media attention after his name was revealed as ABCDEF GHIJK Zuzu when he went to get the Covid vaccine.

The boy, from Muara Enim district in southern Sumatra, Indonesia, pulled out his identity card to get the vaccine, surprising local officials.

The boy’s unique name was first spotted on the vaccination coupon and later on the name tag sewn onto his uniform, as revealed by a video shot by local police, according to The Indian Express.

The footage went viral in his hometown and shows the reaction of the police in shock as they film the boy, his uniform and his petticoat.

Liputan6 reported that the middle school student was named by his father who likes crosswords.

“I prepared the name for 6 years before he was born,” the boy’s father, Zulfahmi told Detik, adding that his son is normally referred to as Adef.

“The idea came from when I wanted to be a writer. Until now, I still love to write, “he said.

According to another local outlet, Zulfahmi wanted to name his second and third child NOPQ RSTUV and XYZ respectively, before settling for regular names.

Other reports suggested that his father’s choice of the strange name was due to his love of crossword puzzles.

The Zuzu part of the boy’s name comes from the names of his parents, Zuhro and Zulfahmi.

Other parents, Gwenny Blanckaert and Marino Vaneeno, from Belgium, only used A, E, L and X when choosing the letters to name their children.
