Son Bullied: Mia Shares Her Story

Despite the various stages of her life, MIa radiates calmness and says that happiness is a matter of choice, according to a press release. “I live very well. I always live very well, even when things are very bad. I always say that you need to change your attitude. If you feel bad, it’s good to change your attitude,” Mia will share her philosophy.

The performer, who has spent more than two decades on the stage, did not hide the fact that publicity has become a way of life for her. “I don’t remember myself as someone who didn’t share anything with Lithuania. As I say, I already belong to everyone. It seems that the whole of Lithuania is like a family to me. When someone asks me something, I have to tell, make excuses so that everyone knows. Of course, I keep some things to myself. You don’t always tell your family everything either,” Mia will say.

Currently, the singer devotes part of her time and energy to her beauty shop, which she founded on her own. “Everyone opened those stores, that’s what I need. Actually, it’s not so easy to open a store. I opened it alone, I didn’t hire any additional people. It took time, but what did I think, what the hell am I? Can’t I open my own store? Of course I can, and I did,” Mia will say with a smile.

Openness about relationships often gives Mia unwanted attention. She revealed that as soon as the divorce is announced, her social networks are flooded with specific content. “Everything changes absolutely. I receive a lot of pictures of men without a face and without underwear. Sometimes I’m even afraid to open them because people send them everything. I even wrote to one: “Did someone tell you that you’re a little nail?”, the singer will laugh.

Despite the new activities, music remains an integral part of her life, because music has accompanied Mia since childhood. “My musical career began in Kretinga with my grandmother on a chair. I was five years old then. I sang everything that was needed and earned 10 rubles each. Paid concerts were already from childhood,” Mia recalled.

In the program “Šeškinės 20”, the singer also touched on the topic of early motherhood, as she had a son at the age of seventeen. “I already started a music career with a child, but I’m very glad that I had a child at 17, because I probably wouldn’t have had a child after that. Because I started running very fast up the career ladder, climbing the top, and I just didn’t have time to think about children anymore,” said Mia openly.

Although the relationship between her and her son is great now, the son had to experience the price of his mother’s popularity. “There was a certain point in his childhood when he got, I think, trauma from his peers. There was a project where we sang together. And I remember being made fun of at school when he sang on stage on TV. Of course, it was all out of jealousy. He really wanted to sing, but then he said that he didn’t want music or songs in life. And anyway, when he was in elementary school, he always said to me: “Mom, why you’re not like everyone else? Why can’t you do a simple job?”, the singer Mia will say.

You can hear more open details about Mia’s life, business and return to the project “Music Mask” already today, at 20:00, on the LNK program “Šeškinės 20”.
