With a new generation of high-end processors from Qualcomm, a new version of the current Snapdragon processor will also arrive for Samsung phones, we are talking about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for Galaxy.
Today, a new report from South Korea suggests that Qualcomm would once again trust Samsung to manufacture the customized version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, known as “for Galaxy”, which would debut in the next Samsung foldables during the winter of 2026 in Chile.
Although the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 was announced in September and is manufactured in 3nm by TSMC, the “for Galaxy” edition would not only have performance improvements. It would also be built on Samsung’s 2nm GAA process, marking a significant leap in efficiency and power.

This collaboration reinforces rumors that Samsung will bet on Qualcomm in its next premium devices, while the Exynos 2600 would be reserved for the Galaxy S26 series. This debut would take place in January.
After performance problems with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 manufactured by Samsung, this new alliance seeks to regain confidence in the Korean brand’s production capacity. And after seeing the good performance of the Exynos 2600, Samsung’s process has once again gained the trust of users.
